It's a good thing I didn't go to work today. I actually had jury duty today, and even though some of you would probably rather work than sit around wondering if you will be selected for jury, it was not a bad way to start the week. Especially one where I can't focus. I can't focus because, this is the week where "Avengers: Infinity War" is released.
Tonight, I've been watching red carpet (actually its a purple carpet) coverage of the world premiere of "Avengers: Infinity War." I will confess that I have never, NEVER payed this much attention to ANY type of red, purple, whatever colored carpet coverage of anything. I don't get excited for coverage before awards ceremonies or other big events. I just don't get into it. I don't think I've been on Facebook this long. But tonight, I've been hovered around my computer, watching my Marvel Facebook live feed like a hawk circling a squirrel. I am so excited for this movie, its making my mind explode. I've got my ten year anniversary shirt ready for this weekend, and I am planning to see this.
It's amazing that this has been a fever dream for about four years now. When Kevin Feige announced that Infinity War was coming, it was madness inside my psyche. I mean, we knew Thanos was coming, and that alone would present quite the challenge to our favorite superhero team. But with the stones...that brought this universe to a whole other level. I can't believe its finally coming to fruition and I hope Marvel lands on its feet.
It seems like spoilers won't be a plenty tonight. Unless you really go looking for them. The actors haven't seen the whole movie yet. They apparently were given false scripts, they recorded scenes that had nothing to do with the movie. Hell, everything we've seen in the trailers could all be a bunch of hogwash and what audiences will be seeing this weekend could be something else entirely. This is shrouded in secrecy and I love it. I guess Thanos is that powerful of a motivator because, #ThanosDemandsYourSilence.
How you celebrating this week? When are you planning to see the film? I am going sometime this weekend. I can't wait!
