I know lots of people that downright hated "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of Crystal Skull." Heck, I'll even admit that I found that last offering to be sub-par at best. But when I saw the movie in May 2008, there was something electric in the theater. There is something endearing about hearing about a new Indiana Jones movie. Indiana Jones truly is one of the greatest heroes in all of film and when he is in the buzz of modern film news, its embracing.
So when I heard that a new Indiana Jones movie is slated for 2019, I got excited.
When I learned that Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford were returning for the fifth installment, I got even more excited.
I am glad that Shia LeBeouf never became the new face for this franchise and that they are moving forward with Harrison Ford. I hope they can nail the excitement and energy that made the first three films so great and so worthwhile. This is still a series that can get the butts in seats and make money and I am glad we are getting another film.
Let's hope for the best.
