The First "Hateful Eight" Photos

Sorry for being so absent from this blog, but this was Mother's Day weekend and I was heavily busy getting things ready for today. Then I spent the whole day in Peoria, Illinois hanging out with my mom. It was a fun weekend, and before a brand new work week commences, I had to discuss the first images of "The Hateful Eight," the new Quentin Tarantino movie coming our way this winter. These photos are courtesy of a EW article released over the weekend.

Yes, its true, Quentin Tarantino is making another Western. However, this will not be a "Django Unchained" redox. This is going to be a completely different style of movie entirely. From the sound of it, if there is any movie that could successfully be translated out into a stage play, its "The Hateful Eight," as I have heard that the characters will be trapped in a bar with each other for the whole movie. Plus, I have no problem watching Westerns, and if its QT that brings the Western back to relevance, then I will be a happy boy indeed. I love that Tim Roth and Michael Madsen will be teaming up with Quentin Tarantino once more (Tim Roth's last appearance in a QT movie was "Pulp Fiction" in 1994, and Madsen's was "Kill Bill."). With that said the faces of Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh are what spark my curiosity the most.

Let's take a look at the Eight:

Who else is excited? I am! Especially after a live script reading that was apparently electrifying. I can't wait for this. Like I have said before, any year with a new Quentin Tarantino movie is a good year.
