When can you see "Our Own Top 250?"

Well, September 20th was the deadline for all of my readers to send in their list of all-time favorite films. I am so happy for those of you that participated. I assume you have been wondering when you would see the list. You are probably wondering that this was a project I never wanted to finish and that I am sitting at home laughing at the hate-mail.

Nope, that is not happening.

For the past couple weeks, I have been crunching down on the date I received from all of those who participated. Add that with a personal life, working 9 hours, driving home from work (which can take me 45 minutes to an hour) and still writing news and reviews on this blog. Well, that can all get quite overwhelming at times. I'm not complaining though, I am addicted to this blog. But I am also addicted to getting the stuff you guys participate in out there as quickly as possible. I am happy to say that this list of 250 all-time favorite films is shaping nicely. Over the next five days, I will deliver the list we all had a hand in creating, I will deliver the list by fifty films at a time. I will include a small paragraph on why I think the movie matters. Then at the end of it all, I will publish the entire list, with absolutely no yapping, and place it on a link at the top of my blog. Then everyone can see the work we have created each time they come to read my blog. Each year, we will change the list, we will see if any movie deserves a spot on the list. So if you didn't get a chance to participate this year, mark your calendar for August 2015, I will discuss it then.

In speaking of not participating, and even if you did participate this year, I'd like to ask for absolutely no trash talk. I did not write this list exclusively. This list was created by my readers. I had very little say in the final list and placement is due specifically on votes. Nothing else. I will not tolerate any complaining of what is or is not on the list. If you are unhappy with the list, I am sorry, all I can publish is a collection of my reader's opinions. If you are still unhappy, then I encourage you to participate in the voting next year!

So look for the first part of the list tomorrow night and the rest shall follow. I am very happy with what got created and I hope you will too.
