"Our Own Top 250" (PART 1 OF 5)

Here we are the first fifty (250-200) of the favorite films of all time list that you created.

I had a couple of rules pertaining to this list which I published yesterday. Basically, I wanted to outline the level of scrutiny towards this list and make it zero. I know the internet landscape, I have been discussing film on the 'net for years now. I know how passionate people get when discussing films, particularly when it comes to movies that are considered the best. But this list was comprised with by the opinions of several people. If you don't like it, I don't care. These are my readers and this is me giving them a chance to express themselves.

Besides, I will put down the spoiler alert right now. Several films that have been considered great over the years are appearing on this list. Movies like "Citizen Kane," "Casablanca," "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," "The Godfather" and the like made the cut for the most part. However, tons of modern movies made the list too, even movies that came out this year. I guess when a movie truly is great, there is a general consensus for it and when something comes out, it is so fresh that it sticks with you, deeming everything else useless. However, I am also happy that there are some rarities and oddities on this list which will be worth discussion as well. Keep in mind that these are only the first fifty, so if your favorite film hasn't appeared after tonight, please remember we have five more days of countdown.

With no further ado, numbers 250-200 of Our Own Top 250.
