It is on my bucket list to go to a film festival.
Seriously, it seems like it would fit me so well, and I definitely want to save up to go to one sometime. When I read about them online, I can’t help but feel envious of those who have gone to one. Sundance in Park City, Utah, Cannes in France, FantAsia in Toronto, Toronto International Film Festival, South by Southwest and Fantastic Fest in Austin; they all sound like a ton of fun. There seems to be an energy at these festivals that is not matched by any other event on Earth. Maybe I am overselling it, but hey, that is why I love movies so much.
The trailer below is for a movie coming out at Toronto Film Festival, which I think is already underway in Canada. This looks like a movie that would never receive general distribution in the States. This is among the reasons why I need to get to a festival sometime before I die. I want to be able to see movies that I probably would never get a chance to see in the States. The trailer below is for a film called “Spring.” It looks pretty groovy doesn’t it?
I have no idea when this will get released or when we will ever get around to seeing it. But all I know is that the movie looks great. I can’t wait to read the early reviews for it.
