Madness

Well, for the first time in my blog's history, I am going create something that involves the readers!

What am I up to? How can you all get involved? Well, I'll start with a hint!

The Final Four tournament is used as a platform to discover who the best NCAA basketball team is in a given season. Well, this March I want to discover who the biggest Movie Badass is. So I am going to create a bracket of all the biggest movie badasses throughout film history. Sadly, I can't do it alone, nor would I want to. I want as many perspectives on this as possible.

I am in the preliminary of putting together such a bracket, so I need help creating it. If you have a character you feel should be apart of a bracket of Movie Badasses, send me a name by email (bloggershawn@gmail.com) or through Google+. You have all week to get names in, once I feel we have enough names we'll start voting.

Once the bracket has been made, I will give dates on when to vote for which bracket piece. You can vote the exact same way, simply send me a name through my email above. You'll be able to vote from March until April, just like basketball. When its all said and done, we'll have crowned the biggest movie badass. This all depends on your votes, so start brainstorming characters. Depending on how many times a name shows up will decide the characters placement on the bracket.

I hope to hear from as many of you as possible. If you have any questions, please let me know.

To get things started, here are a couple of characters I feel belong on the bracket. If you agree, type the name in the reply box below, that will count as a vote.

Tony Montana, "Scarface"

Ujio, "The Last Samurai"

John McClane, "Die Hard"

Tyler Durden, "Fight Club"

Lee, "Enter The Dragon"

Bill The Butcher, "Gangs of New York"

Maximus, "Gladiator"

The McManus Brother, "The Boondock Saints"
Ripley, "Alien"

Selene, "Underworld"

The Bride, "Kill Bill"

John Rambo, "First Blood"

Jules Winnfield, "Pulp Fiction"

Martin Riggs, "Lethal Weapon"

Sam Spade, "The Maltese Falcon"

James Bond, "The Bond Films"

Trinity, "The Matrix"

The Terminator, "The Terminator"

I think this starts things off well, begin voting and drop names off to me! Let's get the madness started!
