Sir Ben Kingsley Not done in MCU?
By now, I am sure most of you have seen "Iron Man 3." But by the slight chance you haven't you should stop reading now...
For those of you who saw "Iron Man 3," you'll remember Sir Ben Kingsley's portrayal of The Mandarin, and how director Shane Black and Marvel Studios updated the character. Some people bought it, others didn't myself included. No matter what, it seemed pretty hard to believe we would ever see The Mandarin onscreen any time soon.
Well now, we are not so sure.
It has been known for a couple months now that Ben Kingsley was secretly going to appear in the MCU in some capacity. It was fairly sketchy until now. Kingsley's character will appear in the fifth Marvel One-Shot, entitled "All Hail The King," it will follow Kingsley's Trevor as he lives out his prison sentence.
"Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he's the face of your organization. I think they would be right to be quite angry." said "Iron Man 3" writer Drew Pearce during his interview with EW. Pearce also wrote "All Hail The King" One-Shot.
It will definitely be interesting to see how this one plays out. I personally have enjoyed all the Marvel One-Shots so far, and I will anticipate this one as well.
All Hail The King will be apart of "Thor: The Dark World" blu-ray, which will be released in February.
