Vin Diesel on Marvel
Despite conflicting sources, Diesel has not yet confirmed if he is the voice of Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy" or not. Yet, he isn't saying he not playing the role either. But finally today, he shed some more light on the role he will be playing. This comes from our friends at www.joblo.com!
"[It] is something so big I can't even talk about because it's like the merging of brands in a way which I won't get into." - See more at: http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/vin-diesels-mystery-project-at-marvel-may-be-a-gamechanger#sthash.4ySjL6oY.dpuf"
What do you suppose that means? The rest of the article from Joblo.com seems to suggest that the "crossing of brands" points to Marvel characters meeting up with Disney characters in the movies. But I am not sure I agree with that idea. I don't know if people would take an idea like that seriously and I don't know if Marvel or Disney really feel comfortable doing that. I understand Disney owns all the characters, but I don't know if they still can do that legally.
I guess it would be cool to see Captain America and The Rocketeer in a movie, but I doubt it'll happen. I wonder if it means by Phase Three we will indeed see The Guardians and The Avengers in a movie, perhaps to battle Thanos? We know that we won't see The Guardians in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" so it is my best, plausible guess. What Diesel is doing could be very cryptic, so it could mean anything. I will certainly keep up with this story as it progresses.
