Trailer Talk

Trailer Talk
Take a look at some of the following coming attractions.

Muppets Most Wanted
I loved the re-imaged movie "The Muppets" that came out in 2011. I thought it was one of the best films of that year, paying homage to the old school Muppets movies and stories while also becoming something of its own. Based on the trailer for "Muppets Most Wanted," I am not sure I feel the same way. The upcoming sequel looks a little on the "Muppets in Space" side of things, which shouldn't even count as a Muppet movie. While "The Muppets" had a sweet, engaging, emotional story, this looks like fun, but good fun or bad fun? I guess we'll decide. This is just me, you may like the trailer.
I love Muppets, and I am hoping for good things here. "Muppets Most Wanted" hits theaters on March 21st 2014.

I don't care what he has done in his personal life, Joaquin Phoenix is a unique talent. Sure, "I'm Still Here" may have been a bizarre dud, but the guy proved last year with "The Master," that he still has talent and she still cares about a good performance. So what if he doesn't like Awards season, that doesn't bother me in the least. He looks very good in the first trailer for "Her." Also starring Amy Adams, who he worked with in "The Master." There are many good looking stars in this one, and the story seems quite different, which could be a good thing.
I think this could be an interesting one to look forward to. "Her" will hit theaters on November 20th, 2013.

Monuments Men
A historic true story about a group of men who tried to save as much art, buildings and bridges as possible before the Nazi's destroyed it all? Count me in! Since I majored in History Teacher Education in college, anything historic will always make me raise an eyebrow. With a cast that includes George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Billy Murray, Cate Blanchett, and Jean Dujardin, is there anyway this won't be good? Based on the trailer, this looks like one to look out for this winter season.
I am glad that it looks funny, however there is still some dramatic play going on. I can't wait. "Monuments Men" opens on December 18th, 2013.
