Hollywood Grapevine

Hollywood Grapevine

Tonight, I've only got two big stories for you, I think you'll enjoy them.

Quicksilver tease on the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" set
It seems the war for Quicksilver between Fox and Disney/Marvel is still in full swing. Early last week, "Avengers" director Joss Whedon mentioned that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be a "big part" of "Avengers 2." Bryan Singer, director of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" tweeted the photo above for his movie. If you are unaware, Quicksilver's full name is Pietro Maximoff. Which means to me that we will be going to his house in the X-Men movie.

We don't know yet if the character will appear in both movies or neither. But it looks like X-Men is showing that the character will be apart of their movie too. I just wonder if the part will be so small that it won't be worth including him. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is already packed with actors, and if this just accumulates to a quick cameo, I'll say waste of time. If Whedon is serious about fleshing out Quicksilver and his sister as characters, I say I prefer that.

If you want to read about how this character rivalry began, follow this link to my blog when I first reported on it.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be released on May 23rd 2014.

Who is going to join Expendables 3
Ever since Sylvester Stallone created this nostalgic franchise, he's had so many different action stars attached to it. He has had ups and downs in trying to get all the big names in his franchise. There is one big name action star who hasn't been in any of the movies yet. This action star did has had a negative relationship with one of the producers for the Expendables franchise. But now finally, for this third chapter, Stallone managed to get this star on board.
That's right, Steven Seagal has joined Expendables 3. Despite never joining previously due to a negative relationship with producer Avi Lerner, it seems the quarrel has been squashed. Seagal will apparently be a hero in the film. Seagal will be joining newcomers Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Milla Jovovich, and Wesley Snipes, he will do battle against the film villain played by Mel Gibson.

I have also read that Mickey Rourke will reprise his role as Tool for this third film. And that Stallone is rewriting the script so that the new characters will be crucial to the plot and not just cameos like Chuck Norris in "Expendables 2."

All I can say is that I can't wait to see this threequel!

"The Expendables 3" will be released on August 15th 2014.
